Printing a Printipus page takes one click. A few tips make it even easier.
Printing
- Download PDF gives the sharpest print. Page 1 is the activity, page 2 the answer key; print just page 1 for kids.
- Pick A4 or US Letter in the printer dialog and leave scaling on "fit to page".
- Grayscale works. Color keys show the color names too, so a black and white print stays usable.
- The Print button prints only the sheet, nothing from the website around it.
Choosing a level
When in doubt, go one level below school level. An easy win builds speed; a page that is too hard turns coloring into guessing. Categories can be filtered by grade.
Ideas
- Early finishers: keep a stack of color by number pages at two levels.
- Centers: wrong answers show up as wrong colors, so kids check themselves.
- Rainy days: a word search plus its matching learn & color page makes a themed activity pack.
- Sub plans: a mystery picture with its key fills a lesson with zero prep.
On screens
Color online lets kids color on a tablet or computer. Math pages count the correct spaces as they go, and the finished picture can be saved.
